Pickering Neighbourhoods - Brougham

Brougham is a small community built around the intersection of Brock Road and Highway 7, just north of the the 407. Don Beer Memorial Park is located in the east end of the community, complete with playground, basketball court, and baseball diamond. The Marc Barrie Gallery (or Gallery Brougham) has been displaying art in the west end of the community since 1982, making good use of the old School House #10, a one room school house built in 1859 and used until the late 1950s. Some of the community's lands may be affected by the proposed construction and activity of the Pickering Airport; the decision to proceed with planning and construction was made on June 11, 2013.
